It is a fact that majority of the men we have today wish to have a good sex life. However, vices like drinking and smoking prevent them from doing so because of the different health risks associated to it. Even medical doctors would like to discover the real problem why some men experience erection problems in the long run. When it comes to erectile dysfunction, some men think that Viagra is the best solution for a common sex problem.
Before taking Viagra or Levitra, it is important to first know the root cause why some men suffer from this unfortunate condition. But because of their so-called macho image, some men do not like to consult their doctor because they are ashamed to talk about it. They also think that it would only lessen their image if they openly talk about it. Studies suggested that most American and Asian men suffer from erectile dysfunction and around 30 million men in America are experiencing from this condition and only 10 percent seek professional intervention.
Several factors should be considered in treating this problem and they are lifestyle, marital status, and environment. Though ED drugs such as Viagra and Levitra provides you with a good sex life, there are still some downsides attributed to it. Headache, heart attack and the opening of the brainís arteries are just some of its side effects. If any of these is felt, it is extremely crucial that you seek professional help.
Viagra was the first of these so-called ìPDE-5 inhibitorsî that was released in the market. It was followed by Levitra, a new class of drug developed to help men solve their erectile dysfunction. Before Levitra was unveiled in the market, erectile dysfunction was treated with injections directly into the penis or penis implants. But with its production, these unpleasant and invasive treatments are no longer needed.
Levitra is available in 2.5-mg, 5-mg, 10-mg, and 20-mg tablets and is taken about an hour before any sexual activity. Viagra, on the other hand, is available in 25-mg, 50-mg and 100-mg tables. Most of the patients are advised to start using the 50-mg pill and either increase or decrease the dosage depending on oneís tolerance or effectiveness. Also, experts recommend patients to use Viagra 1 hour before a sexual activity.
Levitra will help in increasing the blood flow to the penis and keep an erection that will last for an approximate of 5 hours as compared to Viagraís effect that lasts to 4 hours. Though there are some differences between the two drugs, both have the same chemical structure. And they also have a 70 percent success rate among men. One must remember that it is not safe to take Levitra and Viagra together. You should only take one or the other. They are similar drugs so it only makes sense to try both, on different days, and see what works best for you.
But you have to keep in mind that too much of everything can be dangerous. In fact, you should only try to take the smallest dose that is effective for you. Lower doses lead to fewer side effects. Too much can be uncomfortable and can lead to adverse side effects on the body.If you are experiencing erectile dysfunction consult your doctor and ask which is the most appropriate ED drug for you; Viagra or Levitra.
I’m 42, in good health (daily mile run and weight training) but some stress related ED. Got a sample of Viagra 3 years ago, worked well. I tried it at 25 mg, did not get much of an effect, took forever to act. Upped the dosage to 50 mg (split the 100s), worked fabulous. Took 3 years to burn through 10 pills, finally visited the GP, everything OK physically(T level at 705), she prescribed Levitra. Started with 10 mg, I took it a few hours after eating pizza and it was very subdued compared to the Viagra. Erection was good but not sure if was it me being relaxed or the drug. Couldn’t really tell it was working, as with the Viagra. Realized it was probably from the fat content, tried 20 mg yesterday on a low fat meal. Big delta, got red eyes and flushing like a cartoon devil but got spontaneous wood (like with the Viagra). Erection was good, no action required on my wife’s part (which is a good thing).
Think I’ll go back to 10 mg and see how that works. Seems to me that the 50 mg V is comparable to the 20 Levitra, except the side effects are worse with the latter. I hate the flushing!! I also notice my heart rate about doubles when its peaking at 45 minutes. No blue tint to the lights, though. Oh yeah, it also worked faster, not sure if it was the dosage. Maybe 12-15 minutes and it was full on. V was slower, 20-40 minutes.
I want to get a sample of Cialis to see how that works, and more V so I can see which one works best and at which dosage.
I would rather not be taking these, but the way my sex life works I need erections on demand. I hope there’s not some long-term effect on your natural ability to obtain one your own, that would really suck.
I have had some good experiences with Cialis (been using it for about 18 months)… sometimes i get some muscleache when i take it but it goes away pretty quickly, other than that i have been very happy with it..
All three of them give me a headache. Levitra is the worst with the stuffy nose. I have samples of Cialis and Viagra; I have more Levitra 10 mg since it was prescribed to me and have taken at least 30 doses. I had performance issues related to high blood pressure.
I have only taken Cialis once but the 36 hours sounds great for a weekend and it can be taken with a meal. Viagra and Levitra work best on an empty stomach.
HBP meds and statins took care of my ED but being 43 with small children I need on demand performance as well.
